Nostalgia washes over me as I see the picture. I am a grad of “another” med school in Michigan that has the Upper Peninsula Medical Education Program. I was in the first class and spent clinical years in Marquette and Escanaba. Miss that long shoreline, not the 300 inches of snow up north. For all Michigan students…try to visit the UP at least once during your tenure. It is a long way both in miles and environment…like a trip to a foreign country. Enjoy!
