Game Day

We laughed, we cried

In 2000, ESPN called the perennial football battle between The University of Michigan and Ohio State “the greatest North American sports rivalry.” Beginning in 1897 with a decisive 34-0 victory for the Wolverines, it has since grown into an epic athletic tour-de-force. This year saw 110,922 fans packed into the Big House, a number nearly equal to the population of Ann Arbor (115,092). For the 106th contest we decided to document the spectacle, both inside the stadium and out.
