Reflection on an anatomical dissection

Humanity;
My brutality makes me doubt mine.
These hours,
So close to another time, and other hands.
Hands that I have held;
Hands I have kissed;
And now, hands that I have stripped.
I am learning again that beneath the skin,
It’s not just science.
